Giving the Gift of Yourself
St. Thomas of Villanova, as Archbishop of Valencia, lived a life committed to
service to the poor and marginalized. He developed social programs that provided
food and clothing to those in need. Through his efforts, shelter was made
available to orphans and dowries were provided to young women, so that both
could live in dignity. Thomas emphasized that "justice and love are the guiding
rules of virtue and learning."
For more that 150 years, the Villanova University family has shared the
adventure of learning in the Augustinian tradition, gathering the wealth of
wisdom and learning - treasures of the mind. In all things, we seek to imitate
Saint Thomas, "recognizing that like love itself, what we have learned together
is a gift which we possess never so much as when we give it away."
Villanova University offers its students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends a
wide variety of opportunities for service. To contribute your own time and
talent to the less fortunate, check out service opportunities at Villanova with

Giving a Gift
Transforming Minds and Hearts: The Campaign for
Villanova offers opportunities for annual giving to support ongoing
operations at the University. Confident in its future, Villanova University is
ever mindful of its commitment to building on the traditions it cherishes most –
faith, learning, and community. These traditions keep the Villanova experience
always fresh and always transformational. Now, at the beginning of a new
century, Villanovans are ready to use these values and traditions to make a
difference in the world.
Help Villanova to realize its vision to be recognized
as one of the nation’s leading Catholic universities by virtue of the vibrancy,
effectiveness, and distinctiveness of the undergraduate education it offers, the
quality and impact of its graduate programs, and the excellence of its faculty.
Making an investment in your University will ensure that Villanova continues to
educate young adults capable of making our world a better place. To make a
